Pastor Dwayne and his wife Cecilia have been married since 2003 and have 4 children. They live in the West Rogers Park neighborhood and are excited about being a part of what God is doing throughout the community. Dwayne grew up in the city of Miami and by sixth grade he had been arrested twice. He was quickly headed down the road of juvenile delinquency until he came to Christ at the age of 13. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute and joined the staff at New Life in 1998.

At the beginning of the year, we designated 40 days to fasting and prayer. To help us stay united and focused, we started a Prayer Conference call on weekdays and weeknights. The Prayer Conference Call was so exciting that everyone wanted to continue for the rest of the year. The morning will remain open to all and focus on many areas of need. The evening will be adjusted to have different areas of focus. On Monday nights, we will focus on men praying for men. On Tuesday nights we will ask parents and volunteers to focus on praying for youth and children. On Wednesday night we will focus on praying for the different Sunday ministry teams. On Thursday night we will focus on women praying for women.
